Tottenham are looking to add quality players in the winter transfer window to qualify for the Champions League again.
The North Londoners adequately reinforced their defense and attacking midfield in the summer transfer window. As far as the central midfield is concerned, they already have enough quality and depth in the department.
The one department that Mauricio Pochettino must strengthen is the strike-force and Spurs really need an out and out forward who can support Harry Kane up front.
However, reports (Express) in the media suggest that Spurs are ready to secure the signing of another defender in the form of Walsall left back Rico Henry.
As per the provided Express link, Liverpool, Arsenal and the Manchester clubs are interested in the 18-year-old starlet as well but Spurs are the first one to have moved in and inquired about the player. Moreover, they have asked Walsall to name the price for the young full back.
Spurs insider told Express that Henry is going to be a perfect signing for them:
“Henry is perfect for the Spurs side that Mauricio Pochettino wants to build – and the lad can play left midfield as well so has real versatility.”
Spurs signed the likes of Wimmer (LCB), Trippier (RB) and Alderweireld (RCB) in the summer transfer window. They already have Rose and Davies for the left back position.

It depends on the price Walsall ask and whether the kid is happy to work his way through. Dele Alli is unusual in being elevated to the first team almost straight away; it won’t happen for most young players who come to the club, just look at Yedlin. I think Poch should be looking to secure another up-and-running striker before anything else though. He is lucky that Kane is pretty bulletproof when it comes to injuries – imagine having Daniel Sturridge as your only striker! By all means invest in talented young players that don’t cost very much and are patient enough to wait their chance, but first and foremost it has to be another striker.
Where will he play ? We already have Ben Davies and Danny Rose in that area .. We must look at a young winger like Bernard , Boufal , Najar etc ,, strike talent like Jonathan Colleri , Timo Werner , Berahino , Luka jovic or experienced one like Pato .. One good defensive midfielder for sure if available .. We are over reliant on Dier for that purpose , Bentaleb was also injured .. , a very good defender also Fazio will be out probably in January and he is not that good also … These r the departments we must look upon not the left back ….
