After elimination from the Champions League, Louis van Gaal really has to step up in the Premier League and challenge for the title if he is to stay at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ boss has already spent huge sums to bring new players but he is still not sure about his best XI. To maker matters even worse, the Dutch manager has had to deal with many injury concerns.
Currently, according to PhysioRoom, United have no fewer than 9 key players out injured.
In the absence of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo, United badly need a left back signing in the winter transfer window to solve the dilemma and reports suggest that Southampton star Ryan Bertrand is in the limelight.
On the other hand, United have to improve their attacking line as well. Louis van Gaal’s men have created the least number of chances in the league this season and once again they are now linked with Sadio Mane.
According to Daily Star, United will make an offer of €27.6m for Mane and may have to splash the same sum to lure Bertrand as well.

In rebuilding a team success cannot be seen in the win but in the long time planning. When you rebuild a team you must divide your duty in deferent categories. They are, defense, midfield and strikers. I believe Van Gaal is on the right track. When you rebuild a team you buy only a few experience players to assist you with the building of promising young players for the future and long time survival of the team. Building something is a journey.
Building a team is a phenomenon by itself, On the other hand having built a team like REAL it stays good for some years. There could be some psychological reason with individuals about his fellow players, some reservations against some, not all players accomodate a new and rising youngster for various known and unknown reasons. Selecting to buy cannot be haphazard, plans have to be drawn, for option A player, if not available option B comes if not option C etc, keeping the League and champions league, one has to design a team. The problem with man utd is that having built a reputation for the club over the years as a club with history and pride, it should be also a sustained one, Mistakes can happen for one season by wrong recruitment like David Moyes, who is too young to handle players. There are some who are hold but do not have a stature not in physical sense but in intellectual capacity. A team like Barca has to be content with a draw form significantly smaller team in the champions league, then there is luck to some percentage, in the case of hector moreno who should have been red carded, and that made a big, big difference by the injury to Luke Shaw. Experience with speed and cool headed could be a write combination.
For Van Gaal signing players dis Jan is a no done. He is just an idiot
U are rebuilding a team with almost 300mill spent, you ar rebuildin but sold man u future stars e.g brady, welbeck, chicharito, rafael etc. Now u are buildin wtout pereira, verela, recce blackette, but with old schwaz, slow fellaini, skillful but weak mata, unskillful and old carrick, unfocused and tired rooney, unspeedy darmian compared to rafael, poor passer smalling who gets scared against a top star opponent. Forget it van gaal is not the answer.
