Liverpool need to improve the quality of their squad if they are to seriously challenge for the Premier League title anytime soon.
Midfield is one department where the Reds need to reinforce big time and if reports are anything to go by then Liverpool have held talks (Liverpool Echo) with a highly-rated versatile midfielder to secure his services.
The player in discussion is Serbian international and Red Star Belgrade star Marko Grujic who has been in great form in the Superliga this season.
As per the provided Echo link, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the 19-year-old star and wants him at Anfield, however, Serie A side Inter Milan are also interested in signing Marko.
At the moment, the player is considering his options and Echo claims that he will not be leaving Red Star Belgrade until the summer so Liverpool will have to wait.
This season, Grujic has made 19 league appearances in the central/attacking midfield and has directly contributed in 11 goals (5 goals, 6 assists).
