Brilliant Arsenal – Ratings vs Man City – Assist Machine Ozil

Arsenal are once again two points behind the league leaders Leicester City after beating title challengers Manchester City 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium last night.
The Gunners were without their star playmaker Alexis Sanchez who could not recover in time to face the Sky Blues.
However, they did not need the Chilean international as assist machine Mesut Ozil was once again on song and provided 2 assists to take his tally to 15 for the season. He now needs just 6 more assists to break the PL record currently held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Walcott and Giroud had a lot to do after the final balls provided by Ozil. Theo struck an absolute perfect curler to score the opening goal and Giroud struck a powerful strike to beat Joe Hart and double Arsenal’s lead in the first half.
Arsenal were in total control of the game until the 82nd minute when Yaya Toure pulled one goal back with a world class finish that denied Petr Cech the clean sheet record. However, the Gunners held on to earn the all important three points.
