Tottenham Need not Worry about Rivals For €35m Star

Tottenham were eager to secure the services of West Brom star and England international Saido Berahino in the summer transfer window but the versatile star eventually stayed with the Baggies.
The North Londoners are once again heavily linked with a move to secure him in the winter window but reports (Daily Star) suggest that Newcastle United will go head to head with Tottenham for Berahino.
As per the provided link, Newcastle manager Steve McClaren thinks that the current feud will help the Magpies secure €35m rated Berahino signing. However, it is highly unlikely and Spurs really do not need to worry about Newcastle.

Newcastle United are currently in turmoil, only one place above the relegation zone with just 10 points from 12 games.
Berahino is a quality star who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season and moving to Newcastle will surely be a step down for a young talented player like him.
Spurs on the other hand are performing well and have a top manager in charge in the form of Mauricio Pochettino who can get the best out of the 22-year-old forward.
