Manchester United returned to winning ways in some style by beating Everton 3-0 away from home.
The Toffees started the game brightly and dominated the proceedings in the first 15 minutes. However, the Red Devils turned the heat on and scored two goals in the space of four first half minutes to silence the Goodison Park.
Spanish international Herrera and French star Schneiderlin scored in the 18th and 22nd minute to give United a 2-0 lead.
Without Memphis Depay, United started a three man midfield and dominated the battle brilliantly in the center of the park with the likes of Schweni, Schneiderlin and Herrera.
Much to the delight of the supporters, captain Wayne Rooney scored in the 62nd minute to finally take the game beyond Everton’s reach. The Red Devils are joint second and only two points behind league leaders Manchester City who defeated Bournemouth 5-1 yesterday.
