With time running out in the summer transfer window, Manchester United splashed heavy cash to secure the signing of Anthony Martial from Monaco on deadline day.
The 19 year old star only scored 12 goals in over 40 games for the Ligue 1 side last season and it was argued that the young French striker is a panic buy and may not settle quickly in the English game.
However, the Les Bleus star has started his life at Old Trafford in brilliant style and continues to prove the doubters wrong.
Portuguese boss and current Monaco head coach Leonardo Jardim (Goal) is not surprised by the impressive performance of Anthony Martial and claims that they trained him well. The ex Sporting CP boss stated:
“We worked with Anthony Martial on his physical and mental attributes,”
“I’m not surprised by his performances.”
“We work hard to make sure our young players reach the top European level.”
The teenager was signed for a mammoth sum but he is showing no signs of pressure what so ever.
Martial surely has the talent to become a world class striker and currently he is outperforming top forwards in the Premier League.
