Tottenham could not start the season in brilliant fashion but they are now in top form and have won the last three games in a row.
Spurs are still looking to improve their attack and have received a major boost in pursuit of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.
Metro cite reports in French media claiming that Marseille president Labrune says that the club are preparing for the inevitable departure of the 21-year-old Belgian international. Tottenham can surely pounce on the opportunity to sign the €30.4m star.
Previously, French source L’Equipe have reported that Spurs are set to bid for the former Standard Liege star in the January transfer window.
Michy has scored 13 goals in 33 games for the Ligue 1 side and has started the season in decent form as well. In 5 games, he has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in the current campaign (Transfermarkt).
Fortunately, summer signing Son has settled in quickly and has already scored 3 times for Mauricio Pochettino’s side but star striker Harry Kane is still misfiring. Someone like Michhy will surely improve Spurs’ strike-force.
