Manchester United desperately needed to improve their attack in the summer transfer window after letting go stars like Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria.
According to German source Bild, the Red Devils were very serious about signing Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.
Bild claim that United made not one but two huge offers, 1st £55m and 2nd £65m to secure the services of the World Cup winner but the Bundesliga giants refused to sell.
