Arsenal are still in search of a quality goal scorer after failing to sign one in the summer transfer window.
Daily Star cite reports in Italian media claiming that the Gunners are looking to sign Swiss international Breel Embolo. As per the provided Star link, Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the 18-year-old Basel star and may splash 10 million pounds to bring him to the Emirates.
Embolo has been in fantastic form lately. Last season, he featured in 42 games and directly contributed in no fewer than 30 goals (17 goals, 13 assists). This season, in 9 games, he has directly contributed in 5 goals (Transfermarkt).
His stats are brilliant but the teenage star is not a proven world class talent. Should Arsenal sign him?
On the other hand, Manchester United are interested in signing a top quality defender in the form of Real Madrid star Raphael Varane.
Metro cite reports in France claiming that Manchester United have made Varane their priority transfer target.
United have kept 3 clean sheets in the first four PL games and there is still room for improvement.
The Les Bleus star is arguably one of the best young central defenders in the world and will largely improve Man United’s defense.
