Man United Manager wants this Star to Replace Shaw

Luke Shaw SouthamtonManchester United suffered a double set back against PSV Eindhoven in their opening CL group stage game on Tuesday night.
Not only did the Red Devils taste defeat but they also lost the first choice left back Luke Shaw. The England international broke his leg and will probably be out for the rest of the season (Star).
In his absence, United do have players like Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo who can cover the left full back position. However, the duo are not natural full backs and in such a scenario, Louis van Gaal will have to sign a replacement for Shaw.
According to Daily Star, Manchester United boss is keen on Leeds’ Charlie Taylor and has sent scouts to track the England international several times.
As per the Star link, in the absence of Luke Shaw, manager Louis van Gaal could move in with a 4 million pounds move to sign Charlie in the winter transfer window.
Last season, the 21-year-old defender featured 25 times for Leeds scored two goals and provided an assist as well (Transfermarkt).
In your opinion, should United sign Taylor or are Blind and Rojo better options for the left back position?

LVG should do anything possible to get him than managing Daley Blind Marcos Rojo when fully known they are not full back left defender.

  2. Louis says:

Nonsense. If Blind is not a left back by trade then what is he? Not much debate here, Blind to slot back into LB and Rojo to compete for the LCB position. Jones is also back in training for contention.

  3. Tony Howarth says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Rojo play left back for Argentina?

  4. meshack says:

Both rojo and blind are not natural fullbacks despite playing there previously, since Shaw is absent over six months, we’ve no option but use the available players. blind has done marvelously at cb, rojo has done it too and that’s his natural position, so better lvg to use blind as fullback as rojo and jones compete for LCB position as we wait Shaw s recovery.

I think buying too many other young players from other clubs could send out the wrong message to our reserve team boys who have been working hard to get noticed……what did we do for left back when Luke was not playing last season……Will there be a break from tradition and no home grown players will be in the team…..
For Pete’s sake, play James Wilson up front…..give the boy a chance…

I thought Blind is a bit slow as a left back though

  7. Abubakar Tijjani bbh says:

United! I think there is no need to buy any player Since we have Rojo. the guy is good just give him the chance.
Moreover, as Phil jones is getting fit, he can come back to LCB while Daley Blind to extend LB. But as for now we have Marcos Rojo

why did the club buy rojo and blind? why should another player be bought. let the available guys play and also give the juniors chance to graduate into the senior team please.
