Manchester United splashed huge sum to seal the transfer of Anthony Martial on the deadline day.
If there were any doubts about his talent, the young French star has just blown them away with three goals in his first two league games for the Red Devils.
Not to forget, he only scored 9 league goals in the French league last season and normally players take time to settle in the English Premier League. Martial though is making things look very easy and his confidence is sky high.
United faced a tricky fixture against the Saints yesterday and conceded early on in the game. Martial turned the tie around with a goal in each half to put the visitors in a dominant position.
The Les Bleus striker was easily the best player on the field and deservedly won the man of the match award.
Manchester United supporters are already in love with Anthony Martial and the youngster surely has the talent to become a world class striker like Thierry Henry.
The fans reacted with delight to Martial’s brilliant performance against Southampton.
Here are some of the tweets.
Martial is gonna be a problem this year for teams if he stays consistent! But need to sign a cb in transfer window imo..

Brilliant day for Martial. A man who can hold it up finally. Haven’t had a striker that can do it since Louis Saha. #nw

Forget the fee, LVG has pulled a giant rabbit out of the hat with Martial. Full marks!

Martial is good, no doubt. But Utd’s problems lie at the back, in shape of bumbling Smalling et el. Against PSV, 2 high balls into the box, 2 goals. At S’ton last night, simple crosses from either side, 2 goals with Smalling hiding. Just what’s wrong with LVG ? Can’t he see ( didn’t he see last season? ) that even before Luke’s horror, defence wasn’t existing, Swansea showed it. If Utd survive till January without sinking dee LVG and Co must sign defenders. Forget polemics, LVG.
