Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge scored his first premier league goals of the season yesterday against Aston Villa.
The England international netted a wonderful volley to open the account and scored his second with a sublime finish to help Liverpool win 3-2 on the day.
Daniel Sturridge is on his way to breaking Liverpool goal scoring records. The former Chelsea star has scored 37 league goals in 57 games and can complete his 50 faster than record holder Fernando Torres. Torres netted 50 league goals in 72 games for the Reds.
Moreover, in all competitions, El Nino scored his 50 goals in 84 games, Sturridge has netted 42 times in 68 games for the Merseysiders and should be considered favorite to break that record as well.
