In such a scenario, United are looking to sign a quality left back. TalkSport cite reports in the Spanish media claiming that the Old Trafford club are weighing up move to sign Valencia left back Jose Luis Gaya who has a release clause of €49m in his contract.
Solid at the back and also productive in attack, the Spanish international has got the talent to be a major hit in the Premier League with the Red Devils. If Gaya does join, he will obviously be playing as a left full back.
