Top Quality $22.3million Star Closer to Liverpool Move

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Spanish international and Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old star is a top quality talent and has proved that with his performances for Real Sociedad few seasons ago. Real Madrid splashed heavy cash to lure him but are yet to give him a fair chance.
Illarramendi has mostly warmed the bench for the Los Blancos behind world class players like Alonso (joined Bayern Munich last summer), Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Metro cite reports in Spanish media claiming that Asier is free to leave the Bernabeu this summer and Real Madrid have an offer on the table from Liverpool.
There is no figure mentioned in the provided Metro link, however, another Spanish source Fichajes claimed few weeks back that Liverpool have submitted an offer of $16.7 million to sign Illarramendi but Madrid rate him around $22.3 million.
Liverpool have lacked a quality deep lying playmaker since Xabi Alonso left Anfield back in 2009. Illarramendi may finally solve that dilemma.
