Superstar Shines – Player Ratings – Arsenal vs Liverpool

If there were any doubts that Petr Cech will not be a brilliant player for Arsenal, the Czech international has blown them away with an absolute world class performance against Liverpool last night.
The Gunners badly need to step up at the Emirates Stadium. Liverpool dominated the proceedings against Arsenal’s shaky defense in the first half and had more than a few decent chances to score.
However, the former Chelsea goalie was in unbelievable form. The veteran star saved an almost inevitable goal when he denied Christian Benteke from close range in the first half.
Minutes later, Liverpool’s star playmaker Phil Coutinho turned on the head and struck a curling shot towards the far corner. Once again, with a fantastic save, Cech ensured that Arsenal did not concede.
The Gunners were dominant in the second forty five minutes but a rock solid performance from Liverpool’s defense earned the Reds third straight clean sheet.
