The summer transfer window will shut down in less than three weeks and the time is running out for Spurs who look to add quality attacking players.
The North Londoners may have only signed three key defenders this summer but they lack quality and depth upfront and that was evident against Manchester United last weekend.
According to reports, Spurs are closing in to finally sign a top quality attacker in the form of Japanese international Keisuke Honda.
As per Italian source Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham Hotspur have made an official bid to secure the services of Honda who currently plays for Serie A side AC Milan.
Last season, the versatile 29-year-old star featured in 30 games for the seven time European Champions, netted six goals and provided five assists as well.
Honda is widely renowned for his brilliant free kick technique and long range efforts. Capable of playing on the flanks, in attacking midfield and also as a central midfielder, Pochettino can largely benefit from Keisuke’s flexibility if he can bring the former CSKA star to White Hart Lane.
