Manchester United are desperately looking to improve their attack after letting go three stars in the form of Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie and record signing Angel Di Maria.
There are two superstar attackers currently linked with a move to Old Trafford, Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez and Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller.
Metro cite reports in Spain claiming that Barcelona want full £21.4m upfront payment from United to seal the transfer of Pedro. However, the Red Devils have offered £17.8m in cash with £3.6m in add-ons.
As per the provided link, the Catalan giants are well aware of the fact that United have ample cash after selling Di Maria and are also ready to splash heavy cash to sign Muller. Hence, it is baffling why they are not ready to pay the asking price to secure Pedro.
Nevertheless, it will be fair to say that Muller is better than Pedro when it comes to versatility in attack. The German international has scored more goals than Pedro and can play as a lone striker, a secondary striker and also in attacking midfield.
The 25-year-old Kaiser has scored 149 senior goals in his career and reports suggest that United are ready to sign him by paying £56.7m.
