The Red Devils dropped player of the year David de Gea from their opening Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Man United manager Louis van Gaal claimed that the Spanish goalie is not in the right frame of mind because of all the speculations going on about his future.
After the 1-0 victory over Spurs, the Dutch boss said that the club will not let De Gea leave easily.
“He is our best player for three years chosen by the fans and we cannot let him go easily — we have to spend a lot of money for the players we want to buy.”
Louis van Gaal has confirmed that he is looking to sign new players. Goes without saying that a top quality replacement will be needed if De Gea departs.
Reports suggest that the Red Devils have already lined up a replacement in the form of Ajax goalie Jasper Cillessen. As per the provided Metro link, United are confident that they can complete a quick deal to sign the €35m rated Dutch international if De Gea leaves.
