Manchester United have signed two midfielders this summer in the form of French star Morgan Schneiderlin and German international Bastian Schweinsteiger.
It may seem baffling but reports suggest that the Red Devils have moved a step closer to signing another midfielder in the form of Argentine Lucas Biglia.
The Red Devils have been interested in signing the Lazio star and now the player has himself admitted that he could leave the Serie A side this summer.
As per the provided Metro link, Biglia claimed:
“Will I definitely stay now that I have the armband? I don’t know.”
“The truth is that it doesn’t depend on me. For now, though, I’m thinking only of the game tomorrow.”
The 29-year-old South American star featured in 31 games for Lazio last season and helped them earn Champions League qualification. He scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists while mainly playing as a defensive midfielder.
Manchester United did make a bid of 17.6 million pounds for Biglia but the move was rejected. As per the provided Daily Star link, Italian sources claimed that Lazio want around £28 million for their prized asset.
not sure what lvg is up to hopefully he does. He has more mid field players than a cricket team and yet he has not addressed the main concern which is the back and a striker. Day Blind is not comfortable in that role as we saw on Saturday, and I am afraid Rooney was very sluggish the og should have been his for the taking when he woke up the ball was gone. With all the imports a very below average performance to say the least and a lucky three points. The only highlight on the weekend was Arsenals loss and Chelsea drawing. PLENTY of room for improvement if we keep on playing like Saturday will be lucky to get fourth place again.
