Liverpool are still active in the transfer window as confirmed by their manager Brendan Rodgers.
The boss confirmed that there is surely going to be movement but did not indicate whether or not he is going to sign more players.
Rodgers claimed:
“It is natural at this stage of the season. There will be moves for some players,”
“Every player is of the understanding and knows where he stands in the squad.”
“The spirit is strong, it is a difficult situation, the market is still open and I’m sure there will be movement”
Liverpool surely have more than a few players who are not needed at Anfield this season such as the likes of Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique.
French center back Sakho was arguably better than Lovren last season but the former PSG star is also linked with a move away from the club. Serie A side Roma are interested in securing his signature.
As far as the new arrivals are concerned, Metro claimed that according to reports in Spain, Liverpool are closer to signing Illarramendi. The Reds have already made an offer for Asier and Real Madrid have told the player that he can leave.
The Merseysiders have already signed attackers, defenders and a goalie this summer and Illarramendi will be a perfect midfield signing.
