Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is slowly but surely getting rid of all the players that Rafael Benitez signed for the Reds.
The latest name in the limelight to depart Anfield (on-loan) is Brazilian interantional Lucas Leiva.
Since the departure of the Argentine superstar Javier Mascherano back in 2010, Lucas has been Liverpool’s main defensive midfielder.
Things have changed now, the boss has made it evident that Emre Can is the first choice holding midfielder by keeping Lucas out of the squad for the opening two Premier League games.
According to Daily Mail, the Brazilian midfielder is set to leave Merseyside to join Turkish club Besiktas on-loan. Metro claim that the deal has been agreed as well.
The Samba star has been a brilliant and loyal servant for the Reds. If Lucas does leave (on-loan) Liverpool this summer then it will be fair to say that his career at Anfield will be over and he will most likely leave the club on permanent basis soon.
