Tottenham must reinforce all the key departments if they are to finally qualify for the Champions League again next season.
It will be fair to say that Spurs have more than a decent attacking line with Chadli, Lamela and Eriksen playing as attacking midfielders behind star striker Harry Kane. However, they lack depth upfront.
Moreover, Spurs are linked with two top playmakers who will definitely improve their current attacking setup in the starting XI.
The players in discussion are Inter Milan’s Xherdan Shaqiri and Paris Saint-Germain’s Lavezzi.
Argentine star Lavezzi is a versatile player, mainly plays on the left hand side of attack but can also be utilized as a supporting or lone striker.
On the other hand, Shaqiri is arguably one of the best young talents in the world and lack of of regular football with Bayern did not help him.
Here is how Spurs starting XI formation will look with Lavezzi and Shaqiri replacing Chadli and Lamela.

Wimmer was brought in as a specific LCB and is unlikely to partner Vertonghen rather cover for him. I doubt Tripper will walk into the first team but will be rotated with an injury prone Walker. Before Spurs go looking for new wingers they’ll most likely get a new partner for Bentaleb with Mason playing second fiddle. Lavezzi or Ferreira Carrasco are potential Left Wing options and spurs are light there, but Shaqiri will only be signed if either Lamela or Townsend leave. I would be happy to see Shaqiri preferably at the expense of Townsend who is very one dimensional, but more pressing for Tottenham is a RCM, a LWF and moving on a dead-wood striker to make way for another
