Manchester United need a new right full back in the summer transfer window. However for now, they have let go one of their own.
19 year old Swiss international Saidy Janko will be joining Scottish giants Celtic as officially confirmed via twitter by Manchester United.
“We’d like to wish Swiss teenager Saidy Janko all the best. He’s joining Scottish side Celtic.#mufc”
Celtic have confirmed the signing on their official website as well.
The youngster featured 28 times for Manchester United’s U21 side and never really impressed enough to regularly deserve a first team place.
Still, Janko did make one senior appearance for the Red Devils in the Capital one Cup last season where United were ripped apart 4-0 by MK Dons.
In the winter window, Janko was loaned out to Championship side Bolton Wanderers for regular first team football and he played 10 games for them.
Saidy featured in combined 22 games last season and was even utilized in attack as RM instead of his usual fullback position. He scored 1 goal and provided 4 assists. It will be intriguing to see where Celtic will look to play the young defender.
U’ve made a mistake van gaal, no buy back clause, am so disappointed.
U’ve made a mistake van gaal, no buy back clause?, am so disappointed.
Why united no first choice buying if the player shines and want a come back.
