Manchester United completed the signings of two brilliant midfielders earlier in the day when the club officially announced the capture of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.
The French international Schneiderlin played a key part in helping Southampton qualify for the Europa League as they finished 7th in Premier League last season.
Rock solid as a defensive midfielder, the Les Bleus star provided brilliant cover to the back four as Saints only conceded 33 goals in PL last season, only Chelsea conceded fewer (32).
He is also a quality creative center mid star as well but expect Schneiderlin to feature as a central defensive midfielder for Man United now that they have signed Schweni and already have Spanish international Herrera for creativity in the center of the park.
Schneiderlin has signed a four year deal with Manchester United with an option to extend for another year as well.
Bastian Schweinsteiger is a world class player without a shadow of a doubt. However he was mainly injured for major part of last season and must prove that he is strong enough for Premier League.
Last season, Bastian featured in 28 games for Bayern Munich, scored 5 goals and provided 8 assists.
Schweni will turn 31 next month and has signed a three year deal with Manchester United. The fee paid for duo is not mentioned on the official website but BBC claim United have paid $61million for the quality duo. $22m for the Kaiser and $39m for the French star.
