Deal On – Tottenham to Complete $23m Star Transfer

BPLSpurs have quality players in their attacking line with playmakers like Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli and record signing Erik Lamela.
There is another decent attacker in the form of Andros Townsend but for some reason manager Mauricio Pochettino does not think that he is good enough.
The England international was effective under the management of Tim Sherwood and deservedly earned his place in the national side. So far he has scored 3 goals in 9 games for England.
However, under the management of Pochettino, Townsend has mostly found himself warming the bench. Last season, the 23 year old winger was part of the squad in 29 league games, featured in just 17 and started mere 10 for the North Londoners.
It is quite evident that Spurs do not want him, moreover, the player himself has to play regularly to stand a chance of playing for England at the European Championships next season.
In such a scenario, former Spurs boss, current Aston Villa manager Sherwood has made Townsend his top transfer target.
According to reports, despite $23m price tag placed on the winger by Spurs, the deal is on as Villa are very keen on signing Townsend.
Tottenham should complete the transfer if Villa do meet the asking fee. It will be a win win situation for both as Townsend will improve Villa while Spurs will get ample funds to sign a replacement that will suit Pochettino’s style of play.

Townsend is to inconsistent and also to often tries to score spectacular goals from distance when there is a far better option available. If Villa are willing to pay 15 million quid for him, snap it up I say. COYA
