Arsenal are Closing in to Sign $38million Rated Star

Arsenal FCArsenal do not really need a new central defender for the first team but lately they have been linked with young and expensive Italian center halves.
The North Londoners are linked with Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Roma star Allesio Romagnoli. Our focus is on the Giallorossi center back.
The 20-year-old defender spent last season on loan with Serie A side Sampdoria where he was a key member of the starting XI.
According to Metro, Arsenal are closing in to sign Alessio Romagnoli as the Gunners are meeting sporting director of Roma to discuss $38million transfer move.
As per the provided link, Roma’s director Walter Sabitini has flown to England to work on various transfers but his priority is to hold talks with Arsenal regarding the future of Alessio.
Romagnoli featured in 30 league games for Sampdoria last season, scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists as the Italian team finished 7th in Serie A and qualified for Europa League.
Sampdoria lost just 8 league games last season, only champions Juventus and runners up Roma lost fewer.
The mentioned price tag for the Italian defender is way too high and it is highly unlikely that Arsenal will splash that heavy an amount to lure a youngster.
