Alexis Shines as Chile Win First Ever Copa America

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez took the final spot kick to send Chilean fans Berserk on a historic night for the country.
Having lost out on the Copa America in the final on four occasions, Chile have finally done it and won the big prize for the first time in their history by beating tournament favorites Argentina.
La Albiceleste will be in heart break for quite some time as their wait for a major trophy continues having won the Copa back in 1990s.
Not to forget, Argentina lost the World Cup final last year to Germany and last night was another bitter one for the South American giants.
The game was full of attacking football, however lacked goals as no team proved to be clinical in front of the net. Lionel Messi failed to show up on the biggest stage yet again and the frustration on Barcelona’s star face was evident.
Leo was the only Argentine to convert the penalty. Higuain and Banega missed the spot kicks for Argentina in horrific fashion as Chileans scored all to seal victory.
