Newells will have to undergo quite some changes. New coach in charge Picerniwho has no previous experience as head coach. Team is located in mid table and for this game they will have to go without the favours of big star Maxi Rodrigues (13/6), cascco def (13/0), def. Caceres (13/0) and Figueroa (att.11/3). Team lost other striker Ponce (8/1) sold to Roma. Only new signign is Mugni, a reserve in Flamengo (brazil). Team will have to go with 4 youngsters in this game!
Racing made a great season sofar, reached 1/4 finals of Libertadores and now can focus on Primera where theya re fighting for title. The team invested a lot in the market, bought 11 new players, some of them could be starters for Racing and il certainly boos their quality. Visitors have been quit good in defensive plan this campaign, I see minimum draw for them here.
They have a bad record when facing Newells recently and didn't manage to get good results. Still, in last 4 games since 2013 they were all quite competitive, even Racing played a bit better overall according to stats most of the time shots, corners, etc. and if they ahd managed to capitalzie their chances, they head to head could have looked a lot different.
Not gonna force stakes here, though. Newells are probably one of the most typical home teams in Primera. Still, value seems quite big to miss it with all the thing hapening in both squads. Fair lind 2 -0.25 with 2.00 imo.
