So far Mainz had only games against poor opponents, won with 20 goals difference, the hardest one was Rotherham United from England. They lost many valuable players in the market and they are surely weaker than last campaign Many new names as well, most of them from weaker divisions and clubs. Team ha just arrived in Geneva where they will undego last phase of preparation with 2 games against ST. Etienne and Monaco, Things were running smoothly but for this game they will miss Blasis, Koo and bengston
