Tottenham's Offer Leading to Sign €15million Star

Juventus LlorenteTottenham are in search of strikers to improve their attacking line and provide decent backup to star forward Harry Kane.
More importantly, the North Londoners must hold onto the England international as interest from Manchester United is becoming stronger.
Spurs have been linked with youngsters like Anthony Martial and Timo Werner to support Kane but according to latest reports, they are now linked to sign an experienced forward.
Juventus star and Spanish international Fernando Llorente is deemed surplus to requirements and is likely to be sold this summer.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, Spanish clubs like Valencia, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and even Real Madrid are interested in signing Llorente. However, the leading offer that has got more chance of success is sent by Tottenham Hotspur.
The 30 year old striker featured in 45 games for the Italian champions last season, scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists. However, Morata and Tevez have been the ones preferred.
Fichajes claim that Juve’s asking price is €15million for the Llorente but it can be lowered to €9m if Spurs are willing to sell Lamela to Old Lady as well.
The major talking point with Llorente is that he cannot be played as a secondary striker, nor will he want to warm the bench at Spurs because that is what he did at Juventus. Fernando has quality and manager Pochettino should look for a two striker system if Spurs do sign him.

Personally, I cannot see Fernando Llorente adapting to the Premier League.
Firstly, he is more a goal “poacher” than out and out striker. He lacks pace, therefore he is reliant of others to create the build up play. Llorente tends to lurk inside the opposition’s box, to snack happy on any morcels which fall his way. The problem Spurs have up front is having someone to feed the forwards. More recently Erik Lamela, who has become the subject of a possible move to Juventus, has acted as feeder. Harry Kane has not had that luxury too often, and has had to create chances for himself than wait for them to happen.
In all fairness, I cannot see Llorente getting much game time, aside from the Europa League. Apart from having been around awhile, why would Spurs opt for another, even older striker and expect miracles. Spurs would be better off going for Timo Werner from the Bundesliga. The pace may not be exactly the same, barring the physicality, but overall not too dissimilar.
No one is actually chasing Llorente which, in itself, must should have set off the alarm bells at WHL. Spurs would be utterly stupid to even think of swapping a slightly more run down 30 year old striker for a talented, skilful, creative 23 year old. I hope to God that Fernando Llorente did not pop up on Paul Mitchell’s black box.
    Malfunction!! Malfunction!!
