Liverpool and Manchester United have signed talented playmakers in the form of Roberto Firmino and Memphis Depay this summer.
The Brazilian international has been brilliant for German club Hoffenheim in the last two seasons while Depay was arguably the best player in the Dutch league in the last campaign for PSV Eindhoven.
Comparing the league stats of last season for the duo, there is not much to differentiate between two top quality players who are set to be hit in the Premier League.
Depay leads the way with the goals scored, Firmino could not be as prolific in front of goal as he was in 2013-2014 season but remains ahead on the assist chart.
The Brazilian leads the way as far as successful passes per 90 minutes are concerned while Depay is ahead when it comes to key passes per 90 minutes.
Firmino is ahead of Depay when it comes to chance creation and successful take-ons % but as it can be seen the difference is marginal between the two.
Similarly, Memphis is only marginally ahead of Roberto as far as pass completion percentage is concerned.
To sum it all up, as already mentioned, there is not much to separate the two top talents. It will be intriguing to see whether they can replicate such form in Premier League as well.
