After a dismal season where Liverpool ended the campaign without silverware and could only earn 6th place in Premier League, fans are bitterly disappointed.
Major set of supporters wanted manager Brendan Rodgers out but now that the former Swansea boss is staying, Liverpool must change their key policies relating to transfers and player contracts.
However, it seems that is not going to change anytime soon with FSG in charge of the club.
Understandable that Raheem Sterling has been crying for a hefty contract. However, the latest contract offer to one of their best players and arguably the best defender Martin Skrtel perhaps indicate that Liverpool are not taking their star players seriously.
The Slovak star has harshly commented about the offer and that explains the very sorry state of Liverpool football club.
Skrtel claimed:
“It’s unacceptable for me,”
“I think that contracts like this offered to players who are much older than me or the player who had some health problems.”
“The contract which has been offered to me is unacceptable, so I did not sign it. I have one year left and there has been some speculation about the interest from other clubs. We will see what happens.”
For Skrtel to indicate that he might be looking at offers from other clubs explains how bad Liverpool are in keeping their star assets.
Liverpool fans were upset when manager let Daniel Agger leave, expect another outrage if Martin Skrtel leaves the club because of poor management yet again.
