Official Confirmation Awaited – Man United Reach Agreement to Sign €48.6m Star

Louis Van GaalManchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign top class center back Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia.
The Argentine international was arguably one of the best central defenders in the world last season and hence he is very highly rated.
Since the past few days, there have been reports going on in the media about how Otamendi is close to joining the Old Trafford club.
As previously published on the website, United have reached agreement with the player but Valencia are not ready to accept any fee less than his actual release clause.
Once again, Otamendi remains in the lime light as this time Daily Star reported that Manchester United have reached verbal agreement to sign €48.6m rated star.
How, Star have not mentioned that Valencia are stubborn about the release clause payment. They claim that United are poised to negotiate a fee with the La Liga side.
Various media outlets have reported deal agreement, Star provided Independent as the source while Metro even reported the agreed deal few days back.
Hence, Manchester United fans cannot wait for the deal to be completed, are probably fed up of the daily rumors and anxiously wait for any official confirmation to settle the deal once and for all.
It has reached to a point where if Otamendi fails to join the Old Trafford club, the United faithful will be hugely disappointed.

It will be a huge disappointment if this one falls through. Why don’t we just pay the release clause, he is a world class defender and ManU need him

    • PUNIT says:

35 Million pound is still lot to pay for 27 year old. Besides he have no premier league experience. Not doubting his quality. But if he fails it would be a very expensive one at that

What about Hummels who has been followed for two seasons with the same rate and same age? If we want a player let’s stop considering the value because we need him for his good contribution

  2. shakur man says:

why united are wasting there time to negotiate the deal, the player is worth the 35 million just pay the money and get your man before another club enter the deal

  3. Masauso says:

Let’s just buy that Otamendi without wasting time, before others like Real Madrid takes him.

  4. Yusuf kamara says:

By this this us fans were expecting that we would have signed two stars. This delay is destroying our faith to believe that we will be real contenders next season. Delay is dangerous. LVG please sign this energetic man. This man can play anywhere. He does not need to have premiere league experience.

  5. alex t says:

LVG and Ed Woodward are dragging their feet while there is still time to seal deals, but it will be annoying to listen to excuses. Sign Otamendi if you want trophies

  6. spirit2020 says:

As I was saying, Edward is an inexperience man when it comes to transfer market

  7. Kevin Chacha says:

I agree with you @Spirit, this guy Ed is experienced everywhere except in the transfer market. He is waiting for final days when hr will begin to make fear-transfers like Floppy Falcao and Di Maria. Early signings like Herrera adapt faster. Worst of all, LVG is tolerating him nkt!! WE need OTAMENDI or HUMMELS

  8. Pinkode says:

Did i hear u call Di Maria flop? U must b joking nd do not watch football

  9. Frank Akomea says:

Man utd is a professional club and we need act as a matured club which rock horns with Madrid and Bacelona so stop the romours and get Otamendi period.

  10. Paul Payne says:

It may be the wise thing to do…..avoid reading the various rumours until they become reality….I try to catch up every day, at least once or twice, with possible transfer targets.
It would appear that United is “involved “with almost any player of note……
I think I am just going to wait until the players are presented at a press conference……if we believe everything in the papers we would have a squad of 74 players costing the same as the third world debt….

  11. Patrick says:

United we stand !! I believe in smalling and jones ability… Just get me a DM to help carrick……. The trophy is ours next season!!! What a goal from Depayyyyyyyyyyyyyy incredible that’s what the commentator will be singing next season…. Mutd for ever
