If Louis van Gaal does not sign a star striker this summer then the fans can forget about winning the Premier League title.
The strike-force is very weak and more importantly, there is no quality depth in the department with Robin van Persie past his best.
Hence, it is baffling that the Red Devils have not really made any serious approach to sign a striker. Wayne Rooney alone cannot drive Man United to success next season.
United were reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s proven star striker Mario Mandzukic. The Champions League winner with Bayern would have been an amazing addition to United’s strike force.
However, Man United have failed to land their target as Juventus have stolen the march and their manager Allegri confirmed that Mario will sign for Juventus.
As per the provided link, Mandzukic will sign for mere $20.4m which is surely a bargain for a top player like him. he becomes Juve’s second forward signing after Dybala.

United have problems signing anyone with a ‘pedigree’. Yes Di Maria was signed but he is loking to be a poor signing with his weak form, letting the house break-in affecting him and not settling in the UK.
As for strikers, Benzema, Mandzucic, Higuain etc have all been mentioned yet none have arrived at OT and unless a top player such as Lewandowski arrives – which is also very unlikely – then as the report says, United will not be winning the EPL next season!
Van Gaal seems to be totally into Dutch players but they don’t have anyone good enough for the EPL and other nationalities just don’t appear interested, so where do United go from there?
Africa may be the place as their players are not influenced by tactics but play ‘free’ and that is the unknown quantity and just may be the answer to the striker problem?
The failure by Man United to quickly buy quality players like a central defender, a central midfielder, rightback and a seasoned striker simply means that the club did not identify the relevant players; therefore this means the club has planned to fail.
As per the norm with Manunited it’s all smoke and no fire failing to get the business done early by this stage of the summer you should have all your ducks in a row not still window shopping as it seems to be the case with LVG&company , by now bids should all be on the table awaiting response or resolve.
So do we have scout at all at united if yes we need a striker and if no pls get us one before is too late
