Manchester United will Make Insane Offer to Sign Superstar

Understandable that Manchester United want to sign a top central defender this summer but why are they so eager for Sergio Ramos.
Stats suggest that Valencia star Otamendi performed better in key departments as compared to Ramos last season.
What’s more baffling? Perhaps the latest news (image provided below) according to Spanish media outlet AS who claimed that Manchester United are about to make an offer of 30 million Euros plus their best player De Gea leave to sign Real Madris star Sergio Ramos.
Yes, Ramos is a top quality defender but paying that heavy a price for someone who will turn 30 soon makes no sense.
On the other hand,  United should be playing hard ball with Madrid over the transfer of arguably one of the best goal keeper in the world. Losing David de Gea who played pivotal role in helping United qualify for Champions League in a player plus cash deal is even more mind wobbling.
Real Madrid obviously do not want to sell their star asset but United can offer him the contract that he desires. However, it will preferable if Van Gaal finds sense and splashes the cash to sign 27 year old Otamendi instead of Ramos.
