Liverpool Steven GerrardThe idea of next Gerrard is a fallacy, there will never be one but Liverpool must sign a complete midfielder who can fill the void left by the former captain.
One such player Reds are heavily linked with is Inter Milan’s Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian international is a versatile box to box midfielder who can play anywhere in attack. The Nerazzurri have utilized as a defensive midfileder, central midfielder and also as an attacking midfielder.

much as liverpoolfc needs to get back in the champion league, we should not be trapped in the panic buying of players we think will push us back to the desired level, caution should be taken on quality, committed and desirous players to play for the club and those that share the clubs vision.

I am not sure whether is it disdain or an ominous feeling, but, next season will be a same old, same old outcome similar to this season which just ended. Liverpool FC are just not good enough anymore!

We should push to sign Mateo but we can’t just buy potential and go and get freebies for experienced players. We need to pay out for top experienced players to guide these young stars to fulfil their potential. If city want sterling we should try to get a top player from them before accepting cash.

We LFC are not serious with building the team, we remain proud of BIG NAME that once shone with trophies but now a toothless and clawless giant. Look, we focus on signing overrated and tarented young teens of lower price who the future tends to rob us(Sterling, Suarez? etc). Why can’t we learn and adapt to spend big sums on both young tarents and the experienced stars? Benzema is a floppy star for Madrid but we LFC he is a high rated one whom we can not even touch. Why can’t we compete with Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, PSG, MCFC etc over the likes of Pogba? Who can deny that we are now in the same rank with Totenham, Southamton, Westham, Everton etc with only having a so-called BIG name?
