Liverpool football fans have little to cheer about these days after an average campaign last season where they failed to quality for Champions League or win any silverware.
The Reds have secured two free transfers in the form of Milner and Ings but they are still waiting for a marquee signing, a proven World Class player.
With no Champions League football, it is highly unlikely that a world class player will look to sign for the Reds but well Liverpool fans can hope against hope.
Nevertheless, there is not much positive news going on for Liverpool fans but yesterday they all reacted with delight with an absolutely brilliant news of Glen Johnson’s exit.
The former Chelsea star joined Liverpool in 2009 from Portsmouth and was considered to be country’s best right back. However, the England international has been horrific at defending and finally the nightmare is over for Liverpool.
During his 6 years stay, Johnson scored 9 goals for the Reds and made countless errors much to the headache of everyone attached with the club.
Now that he is gone, Liverpool supporters have taken to twitter and expressed their delight and relief on Johnson getting released by the club.
The provided Liverpool Echo link suggests that Glen might be joining Turkish side Besiktas this summer.
Here are some of the tweets from Liverpool fans.

Hearing rumours that Glen Johnson could be available on a free, would be silly not to at least enquire about him.

I had to let Glen Johnson go. With him & Jon Flanagan I would’ve had the two best full backs in the world. That’s not fair on other teams.

#LFC have told the league that Glen Johnson is being released, so why no tributes or mentions on their site, after six years of service?

I am also pleased that he is finally gone. But I would be over the moon if both Rodgers and Ian Ayre were to follow. Really sick and tired of everything that is going on within this club. Is their anyone who we can turn to and rectify these continual failures that these two clowns have helped create. FSG you are the owners so why are you perceiving with guys who do not know how to conduct their buisness in there respected fields.
We the supporters deserve better, and don’t you think it would be prudent, to at least give us explanation of the current situation that we now find ourselves in.
Ya its time for those fools to leave specialle Ayre ,,, today he is searching only free transfers , he only used to sell good players quick to purchase ???? why fans stay mute ???? Are we Masters of Puppets to Ayre view ,, disgusting
