Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal successfully used 3-4-1-2 system with Netherlands and earned third place in World Cup 2014.
However, the Dutch manager failed to effectively implement the same formation with Manchester United and was forced to change the system.
Van Gaal then opted for a lone striker system and played 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 and the Red Devils were a different side in the second half of the season.
With so many attackers in the side, Van Gaal must persist with 4 at the back and lone striker system. United need a new striker and reports have suggested that Argentine Higuain has accepted terms i.e. contract of 5 years that will make him earn 6 million Euros annually.
United have not yet agreed any deal with Napoli yet but the provided Italian source does claim that the Red Devils will bid for him and the Serie A side are demanding €50m.
Nevertheless, we shall know soon how the transfer saga unfolds soon but if he arrives, one or more top stars may have to settle on the bench.
Here is how we believe Man United will line up with Gonzalo Higuain.
