After a dismal last season where Liverpool failed to win any silverware or qualify for Champions League, Reds need an effective transfer window.
Much to the delight of the Anfield faithful, the merseysiders have made a good start by securing a player who has rejected Champions League options to secure Liverpool move.
England international James Milner refused to renew his contract with Manchester City and also rejected interest from Arsenal football club to finally agree deal with the Reds.
Liverpool’s website has officially confirmed the deal.
Milner has won two Premier League titles with Manchester City and last season scored 8 goals and provided 9 assists.
Capable of playing in different attacking positions, Milner will be a valuable asset for the Reds. Here is how we believe Liverpool will line up with James Milner.
The 29 year old star is not going to replace legendary Steven Gerrard. Milner is completely different kind of player but the most important thing, he gives 100% every game and will be pivotal next season if Reds are to finish in top 4.

Good signing but still need n world class holding midfielder n top recognise goal scorer and we ready to go can’t understand we were so close to getting Falcoa now we not even being mentioned yet another quality player heading of to our rivals its sad how we keep on losing out to other clubs all because we don’t have people qualified enough to deal with transfer negotions let’s hope the season gonna get better next term ynwa
Milner is a great signing but pls we need a proven striker atleast evn after signing Ings stil. We’ve startd loosing thm again n will soon end up with another Balo on d deadline. They should be very much aware of our toothlessness up-front n make it a priority.
Milner is a good signing but think of this can he put Liverpool in the place we should be the answer is no please tell then to go for players that can give us result not the once that will make us sick again by loosing 6-1 to stock city we. Need player like benzima, aguero and other that no what it takes to score
As long as BR is still at the helm, no world class players would want to come to Liverpool. It’s not a matter of qualified person doing the negotiating, it is becoz of good players don’t want to play under BR.
Many players like liverpool very much but there is discrimination between players and br
Brandon Rodgers is a mid table manager at best he cannot attract decent players for example lambert for 4 million when we could have got huntelaar for 3 million, no brainer as far as I’m concerned, one of his first signings Joe Allen just says it all, alarm bells should have been ringing when he made that choice but the dumb American owners who call it football and play with their hands, should stay over the other side of the pond, we are not going to win anything with these looney Americans or Southampton loving Rodgers,
