Kudla really play very well on grass, full of confidence comes from the finale challengra in Surbiton and the title challengers in Ilkley. As far as Cuevas I wrote the other day for him, he's back and he bit on the grass which is not the favorite surface. We know that he was a tennis player to slow the substrate, but he surprised me on the grass. Against Janowicz lost 6:3 6:4 or threatened enough, however, Jano was not to be and a lot of times they saved the good services. In Nottingham Cuevas got the Village 2: 0 then lost to the finalists Querrey 6:7 6:7.
I think Kudla gains today but I would not write off Cuevas. He showed that he can play on the grass, have a good season behind him and play good tennis. On the other hand Kudla might have good results and games on the grass, but he is primarily a challenger player and I do not think today will go without losing a set.
