Tottenham to Snap up Playmaker for $15m as he Nears Move

Lavezzi PSGTottenham must add quality players into their attack in the summer transfer window to progress next season.
Harry Kane takes a lot of burden for the goals but more creativity is needed in the playmaking department and one versatile player can possibly solve that dilemma.
According to reports, Argentine international Lavezzi is nearing a move away from current club PSG who are looking to sell the former Napoli playmaker for a cut price.
The South American star joined Paris Saint-Germain with high expectations but has not lived up to the mark and the French giants want to cut their losses by letting him leave.
As per the provided link, Spurs can snap up the playmaker for a cut price of just $15m and the North Londoners must not hesitate as Lavezzi is a quality talent.
Previously, there have been speculations that Tottenham have already agreed deal to sign Lavezzi from PSG but it still remains a rumor.
However, it is a fact that Lavezzi is unwanted at PSG and hence Spurs must not wait before other clubs jump in looking to secure his services.
He has scored 9 goals and provided 9 assists in 47 games for Paris Saint-Germain this season.
The stats are good if you take into consideration that the Argentine has only played 90 minutes in 8 games this season.
Surely he would be a regular starter for Spurs if he joins but will he opt to move to Tottenham when they will not be playing CL football next season? Only time will tell.

  1. Brian Himself says:

Surely this is a Baldini type suggestion which will not come to pass.
The last thing that Spurs need is another geriatric striker, They already have 2 – one who is washed up and finished and needs to be returned to Togo and one who Baldini selected and grossly overpaid for but who can be a productive 2nd team or sub; because he cannot be sold for anything like what he cost.
Adding another 30 year old striker would be foolish. Paying a transfer fee for him would be ridiculous.
