Tottenham CLOSE in to Sign $14m Goalscorer

BPLTottenham have a top quality striker in the form of Harry Kane. However, there is no depth whatsoever in the strikeforce.
Roberto Soldado has never showed the form that made him one of the best strikers in Europe with Valencia. Seems highly unlikely that the Spanish international will even find that form again.
On the other hand Adebayor is past his best as well and Spurs need more quality options upfront if they are to have any hope of finishing in the top four next season.
Hence, Mauricio Pochettino must secure signing of a decent goalscorer and as per latest reports, certain German international is linked with a move to White Hart Lane.
According to reports, Tottenham are closing in to sign Max Kruse from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window.
As per the provided link, German media outlet Bild claim that Spurs have submitted an offer of $14m for the 27 year old center forward. The mentioned amount is Kruse’s release clause as well.
This season, in 39 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach, Max has scored 12 goals so far and has provided 10 assists as well.
Although Kruse is not a world beater but still a decent option as backup for Kane. Spurs’ first priority must be to hold onto key players like Kane and Lloris this summer.

So already, Spurs are looking to bring in a player who is older than 25. Whatever happened to the return of the previous buying policy? Like I stated before, the £10-15m level for young players is, presently, a constantly moving target. A solid striker will cost more than that, so it seems we are shooting ourselves in the foot.
If the intention next season is to make a serious assault on the top four places of the Premier League, then Spurs have to show that commitment. I could appreciate buying lesser known players for the future. However, a “serious assault” clearly means immediately, not two or three years from now. I suggested before that not one striker is needed but two. Goalscorers are what makes a team – providing tangible results will illustrate progression in moving forward. The Europa League is one thing, but Champions League is a different animal altogether.
Spurs fans are rapidly growing weary of always getting close, but never quite making it. Briefly, it is like asking someone to choose between eating out at a local Harvester restaurant or a Michelin star restaurant in London?
Jay Rodriguez or Christian Benteke (NOT Saido Berahino) are proven Premier League strikers, and are within the age level of 26. Stick with youthful players who will be at the club for a few years and establish a set line up. Defence needs attention of the highest level. A new left and right back, an experienced central defender possibly two – not sure Jan Vertonghen will be around for much longer, as he also seeks Champions League football. Hate to say it, but I feel a new, young goal keeper is needed, as it looks like Hugo Lloris and, perhaps, Michel Vorm may be departing. Timo Horn or Victor Valdes had been touted more recently. But above all this summer, Spurs’ mission impossible – GET MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN. He will get our midfield moving properly.
I would say Poch and Paul Mitchell will have their hands full with a plethora of activity at the Lane this summer. COYS!!!!!!!!!!!
