Manchester United had a torrid season taking into consideration the heavy spending they did last summer.
However, even after losing three games in a row, it is highly likely that the Red Devils will qualify for Champions League and fans will be content with the return to Europe’s elite competition.
Manager Louis van Gaal is well aware of the problems at United and claimed that the club will be busy in the summer transfer window yet again.
Van Gaal claimed:
“This summer is very important, of course.”
“We need balance in our selection. I cannot deny that. But we are very busy with that.”
“I am looking for players who fit in as my players, so that has to be a quicker adaptation than players who I have received when I came here in Manchester United.”
Defense is one of the major concerns for Manchester United, dilemma that Van Gaal must fix.
According to the provided Daily Star link, two star defenders are to sign for Man United namely Mats Hummels and Nathaniel Clyne.
The Borussia Dortmund captain and World Cup winner Hummels remains one of the best center halves in the game despite an average season with the Bundesliga side. Hummels is rated around £30m.
Clyne on the other hand is one of the best full backs in the Premier League and has been fantastic for Southampton this season this season. Clyne will cost United around £20m.

It is good if hummels and clyne join man utd, on the other hand Van gaal should be clear about who would fit in to take that huge responsibility and a role model for the team.
