Manchester United have all but sealed the top four spot after Liverpool failed to beat Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium
Although, it is still mathematically possible that United can finish 5th but for that to happen the Red Devils should lost their next two games and Liverpool must win with big margins.
On the other hand, Arsenal lost their pole position for 2nd place as they were defeated by Swansea on Monday night.
Arsenal and United have met twice this season. Van Gaal’s men defeated Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League whereas Arsenal ousted Man United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup.
Who will come out on top on May the 17th at Manchester United’s home ground, we shall see.
United are currently two points behind Arsenal having played a game more.
As far as team news for Red Devils is concerned, PhysioRoom suggests that Manchester United can have 5 stars returning from injury/illness to be part of the squad for Arsenal.
Five Stars to Return for Man United to Face Arsenal

Calling either Shaw or Smalling ‘stars’ is a massive stretch. Shaw is a promising young player and Smalling is a journeyman, at best. As far as getting them back in time to play Arsenal, can you really believe that throwing players just back from injury into the fray in a critical game is a good idea? Van Persie has hurt Arsenal since he switched shirts, the rest… Except for Rojo and Di Maria, BFD. Rafael leaves United open at the back, so if he were to return, maybe that’s a good thing. Can’ts see him outing Valencia or Ashley Young form the line up in any event.
I don’t know what others think or see but as far as I’m concerned, Smalling has been second just to Rojo at that Centre back this season & accepting him back to the line up for Arsenal game isn’t even suppose to be an option, its meant to be factual! Luke Shaw can start for all I care cause of recent he has been impressive most especially in the chelsea game, as for VP, welcome back, he can come as a sub believe ha can spark up the team at the 2nd half of the match.. We can start Falcao instead of Fellaini this time around to change the fluidity of the game…. @Paul, if you observed the chart well enough you would know that it didn’t clear Rafael for the game against arsenal, his recovery date is different compared to others, which means he’s not gonna be fit for the match against the Gunners….
For me i dont sea these five stars retuning. The good news that i will be more suprice to hear is carrick to be back again.if Rojo is fit,let him start with Smalling.
