Deal ACCEPTED – Why $18m Star is Perfect for Tottenham

BPLTottenham Hotspur are in search of a striker and are very much interested in securing the services of young Burnley star Danny Ings.
The England international will be a free agent soon yet Spurs have opted to splash $18 million to be in pole position for his signature.
Ings has been brilliant for relegated Burnley this season as he scored 11 times and provided 4 assists in 35 league games for the club.
For now, Spurs only have Harry Kane as the main striker and the backups in the form of Adebayor and Soldado have been pretty much useless.
The North Londoners need top players to finish in top 4 next season but without CL football signing world class talent is not easy. One top player linked with a move to White Hart Lane is Croat Mario Mandzukic. However it is highly likely that the current Atletico Madrid star will leave for a non-CL club.
On the other hand, Pochettino uses a lone striker formation and Kane will always be the main man to lead the lineup when fit.
In Danny Ings, Tottenham will get a versatile talent capable of playing as a secondary striker as well as a lone central forward. Someone who can support Kane and be a decent backup as a lone striker in his absence.
According to reports, Burnley have accepted $18m offer from Spurs for Danny Ings and they must do all to seal the deal swiftly as Ings has the potential to be great in the years to come.

What you have to ask yourself is will the likes of Wimmer, Trippier and Ings bring us the extra twelve or so points needed for qualification to C L. While these are promising young players who would help us consolidate our present position they will take time to reach their full potential whatever that might be, by which time our best players will have moved on in search of CL football so perpetuating this seemingly endless ‘transition’ period. Now that the FFP regulations look like being relaxed again we can hope for a multi billionaire benefactor to propel us into contention but other than that I don’t envisage any progress at least until the new stadium is delivered.

Buy em young, use them, sell for a profit that covers buying and wage bill. It’s the Spurs way. Even with a new stadium we will be miles behind the top clubs with their fake commercial income. Trouble with buying older more expensive players is you end up with Soldado, Kaboul, and Adebeyor. May just as well buy in 3 £10m players young enough to improve than 1 £30m player that might fall apart. Out of my the 3 one will likely cover the costs of the other 2.
Anyone thinking Levey can go buy a team like Chelsea and City have done is dreaming.
Inge would be a good addition to a squad crying out for at least 2 strikers
