Premier League's Finest Possible Summer Transfers

PLWith the current English Premier League seasons’ curtains close to coming down, many teams eye a busy summer. With some eventually unlikely to happen, the transfers of some performers in the current season across the globe seem imminent.
Gracing the headlines in recent weeks has been the surprise link of Liverpool sensation
Raheem Sterling with second placed Arsenal. His refusal to pen a new contract aimed at committing his future at Merseyside all but added to the speculations.
However, the teenager’s expected move could fail, given the reluctance of Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger to loosen his tight purse strings, making him available for other potential suitors like Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The Gunners also look likely to mend their leaky defense with growing speculation of Wenger eyeing a move for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno. Wenger could feel obliged to sign big especially in the wake of Santi Cazorla, one of his rare gems, declaring that he would relish playing for a team competing for big honors.
Big spenders Manchester City have also hinted at a radical surgery on their aging squad.
Among those likely to bid farewell to the Etihad include Bosnia International Edin Dzeko, Ivory Coast talisman Yaya Toure, and Frenchman Samir Nasri.
Raheem Sterling Liverpool European Golden Boy AwardThe trio is rumored to have outlived its productive best hence the need to inject some youth into the side. Possible replacements include Ross Barkley, Sterling, Jay Rodriguez, and, ambitiously, Jack Wilshere.
League leaders Chelsea are less expected to sign big as their current squad is strong enough to mount a formidable challenge, both domestically and across the continent. However, their recent humiliation by PSG in the Champions League could prompt manager Jose Mourinho to sign.
Among the players likely to attract Stamford Bridge interests include Palermo striker Paulo Dybala and Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke. The two could prove to be a major shot in the arm for Mourinho’s already awe inspiring squad in next season’s European ambitions.
With Dybala also on Wenger’s sight, bookmakers credit the blues with the best odds of
acquiring his services, even though, the recent acquisition of financial might by the gunners makes it even harder to compare the odds.
Brendan Rodgers will less likely remain Liverpool’s manager next season. Rodgers seems to be living on borrowed time in his quest to convince the Kop that he can lead the Reds to regaining their former glow. The possible loss of defiant Sterling will all but worsen the fans’ wounds.
Sterling’s departure would nevertheless fund some signings, among them long term
target James Milner, Luciano Vietto, and Romario Bialde, among others. Arsenal’s interest in Milner is real, with the Reds being accorded the best odds of signing him.
Memphis Depay PSV EindhovenWith these and other transfers most likely to happen, next season’s Premier League battle promises to be a bruising one. Entertainment will be guaranteed and bookmakers could find it difficult to compare the odds of the possible team likely to clinch the title.
The noisy neighbors’ nemesis, Manchester United, could set aside their offensive woes by signing long term target Memphis Depay. The prodigious PSV forward has been on Van Gaal’s radar since last summer. A productive campaign succeeding an equally impressive world cup performance has rendered United hungry for his signature.
Depay’s transfer to the NorthEast of England could be further fuelled by his relationship with compatriot Van Gaal, United’s manager and Depay’s former boss at the national level. Comparing of odds is in this case likely as the striker is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar.
