One of Manchester United’s top transfer target in the upcoming transfer window is Dutch international and PSV star Memphis Depay.
The Netherlands star has been sensational in the Eredivisie this season having scored and created goals for fun.
With such top form, Memphis has attracted interest from top clubs and is likely going to leave PSV Eindhoven in the summer window.
According to latest reports, Manchester United are closer to signing Depay as PSV director has provided United boost by claiming that there are high chances that the €34m star will leave the Dutch club this summer.
“The chances are very high that he leaves. If you see what clubs are enquiring about him, they really are the best in Europe.”
“When I talk for PSV I would say he is not ready and should continue here for another year. But I am realistic and if I worked at a big European club, I’d buy him without question.
“With a heavy heart [we would let him go], because a great player and a great guy leaves. But we are also proud that a boy from the academy is going to make such a step.”
Memphis Depay has played under the management of Louis van Gaal in the last World Cup and Manchester United manager is well aware of his qualities.
Also, it has been reported earlier that Memphis himself wants to move to Man United and re-unite with Louis van Gaal. We shall see how the saga unfolds.
