Brendan Rodgers’ men dominated all game against magpies and it did not take them long to open the scoring. Jordan Henderson’s wonder ball found Sterling in the box whose pace and quick feet were enough to rip visitor’s defense apart and he calmly slotted the ball home.
Coutinho and Raheem Sterling were the chief tormentors on the night and the England international could have easily had hat-trick but he missed two easy chances.
Newcastle did not create much apart from the clear penalty shout that was not given. Joe Allen eventually doubled the lead in the second half to take the game away.
Newcastle finished with 10 men as Sissoko was sent off and magpies suffered 5th straight defeat in the league.
