Manchester United need to sign quality players for several positions next summer and one of the key positions is that of a right full back.
The Red Devils have targeted in form England international and Southampton star Nathaniel Clyne and it seems that the 24 year old is edging closer to joining Man United.
According to reports, Clyne has himself claimed that he wants to leave Southampton and in favor of Manchester United move.
As per the provided link, United are ready to close in with a huge $37m offer to secure the services of Clyne.
Daily Star suggest that a Source close to the Saint star claimed:
“The player has made it known that United are his first choice.”
“The deal is not done yet but it is a clear indication of his thinking.”
Star also claim that Clyne has been handed a new contract by Southampton but he not going to extend his contract because he wants to be at Old Trafford next season.
The mentioned sum is a decent figure for someone whose contract will expire at the end of the season. Many stars departed Southampton last summer but the club did well under Koeman.
The Dutch manager may have to work wonders again in the transfer window if he loses more key players.

Just ridiculous to pay 37m for an unknown English player. The English media always overhype these average players. They are not worth that much, it’s like saying in the kingdom of the blind one eye demands a kings ransom. Man utd better off buying some European player or even dani alves, even if he is older but his talent and experience is undeniable…….for that kind of money, dani would be a wiser choice.
